Welcome
Mrs. ehle's literacy intervention
Spring, 2021
Happy spring!!!
Let's all keep our guards (and our masks) up until more of our community has been vaccinated so that we can stay in school and keep our students, families, staff, and faculty safe from Covid 19! I know it's been a very L-O-N-G year, but we're in the final stretch and I know we can make it if we all stay the course together!
Please keep encouraging your student(s) to read at home. Just a half an hour of reading per day helps raise students' overall achievement scores! It's a very worthwhile endeavor. You can make it more fun by letting your student(s) choose the books and/or helping them read. If the books they choose are too difficult, have them copy you reading it, paragraph by paragraph while pointing to the words. (This strategy is called echo reading). Audiobooks are an excellent alternative, and you can also find many stories read aloud online.
If you have any questions about reading, or if you would like help getting books and/or other reading materials, or learning how to download audiobooks, please contact me.
You may reach me anytime via email, at mehle@gisu.org or you may call/text me at (802) 395-1837, or fill out the form below.
Sincerely,
Meghan Ehle
